The Andrews Labor Government’s first budget delivers $10 million to upgrade William Ruthven Secondary College. I’m very proud to represent this dedicated school community and I’m delighted they are recieving funding for vital improvements. The funding will go towards a new year 7 – 9 building, a year 10 – 12 building, and administration facilities. The word is scheduled to be by mid 2017.

As a local member, I will work with the community to return public education to the former Preston Girls College Site. A study into the reopening the former Girls College will include input from a number of stakeholders including the local council, schools and the Metropolitan Planning Authority.
